What's New? More License Plate Art and Maps!

It's been awhile since I posted on the blog, so I'd like to show you some pieces I've been working on lately. As always, head over to the main site to see all the options for prints and originals.

Get Your Kicks - On Route 66

Recently I finished up a project I've been wanting to try for a long time - a sign celebrating the history of Route 66. I gathered license plates from each of the 8 states that the iconic road travels through, and used them to create a border and then road emblem shape using them all.

I took particular care in cutting the black border arounds the state highway shape, using 1969 Kansas license platers. The letters spelling out ROUTE took quite a bit of time and effort. This piece took forever to make! I also learned many lessons about what you can't do with license plates :)

Now, you can get the canvas print here and here. Hope you love it!
